Paul Simon reached the pinnacle of his songwriting career with the 1986 album "Graceland." Blending pop, rock, African music, and a cappella, this album pushed popular music in a new direction. Its diverse musical styles, rich humanistic perspective, and masterful production earned "Graceland" the 1987 Grammy Award for Album of the Year. It was also named one of the best albums of the 80s by Rolling Stone, achieved 5x Platinum certification in the US with over 14 million copies sold worldwide, and was selected for preservation by the National Recording Registry in 2007. The title track, "Graceland," inspired by a journey through the American South in search of musical roots, eloquently traces the cultural foundations of American popular music. This 25th Anniversary Collector's Edition features 9 bonus tracks on CD, while the DVD includes the SXSW Audience Award-winning documentary "Under African Skies," which takes viewers back to the historic moment Paul Simon introduced African music to the world, along with rare interviews and 3 music videos.
