★ No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart and No. 3 on the US Billboard 200. A concept album that reflects the political and social landscape of late 1970s Britain.
★ Expertly remastered by Pink Floyd’s Grammy-winning producer, James Guthrie.

Pink Floyd integrated psychedelic and space rock, paving the way for the future of progressive rock through experimentalism, rich narrative depth, and philosophical lyricism. This forged one of the greatest legends in music history. With every generation, fans continuously discover timeless auditory surprises within their work, and bands consistently find inspiration in the imaginative scope and emotional resonance their music creates. From their formation in 1967 to their final album, "The Endless River" in 2014, Pink Floyd amassed over 200 million in global album sales over 47 years. Their catalog includes the perennial classic "The Dark Side of the Moon," which spent a combined 881 weeks on the US Billboard charts, and "The Wall," one of the greatest concept albums of all time—both of which remain essential, revered works for successive generations. With the supreme honor of induction into the US Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the UK Music Hall of Fame, as well as inclusion on Rolling Stone and VH1’s "100 Greatest Artists of All Time" and Q Magazine’s "Greatest Bands of All Time" lists, they have left behind a rock legacy that has defined perfection for over half a century.

Pink Floyd’s 10th album, "Animals," was deeply inspired by George Orwell’s dystopian political allegory, "Animal Farm." In the songs, Roger Waters uses different animal personas to represent various social classes, using the depictions of rule and resistance within the animal society to criticize the social issues and political situation of Britain at the time. Beyond its political implications, the album also serves as a rebuke to the then-thriving punk rock movement. Aside from "Dogs," which was co-written by Roger Waters and David Gilmour, all other tracks on the album were written solely by Roger Waters. The two-part "Pigs on the Wing" is a folk-tinged rock track in which Roger expresses deep affection for his partner at the time; in contrast to the darker themes of the other tracks on the album, it offers a glimmer of hope alongside its personal sentiment.
