If the 1982 album 【Thriller】 was a milestone in pop music, Michael’s third album, 【Bad】, released in 1987, was an ambitious work that took his music to new heights. The music video for the title track “Bad,” directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Martin Scorsese, featured a realistic New York story setting and flawlessly choreographed dance scenes, and caused a sensation upon its premiere. In addition to “Bad,” “Man in the Mirror,” “I Just Can’t Stop Lovin’ You,” “Dirty Diana,” and “The Way You Make Me Feel” all went on to top the Billboard charts, as Michael once again swept the global music market as the King of Pop.
