【About the Film】
The 2014 sci-fi blockbuster *Interstellar*, with its multi-million dollar budget, was directed by British filmmaker Christopher Nolan—known for *The Dark Knight*, *Inception*, and *The Prestige*—with his brother Jonathan Nolan, who received an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay for *Memento*, serving as co-writer, and wife Emma Thomas participating as a producer. The plot follows a group of explorers who, as Earth faces an unprecedented threat to human and species survival due to drastic climate change, push the limits of science to cross known galaxies and face enormous unknown challenges in search of future possibilities for humanity, while also exploring the heart-wrenching complexities of family bonds. The film stars Matthew McConaughey, who won the 2013 Academy Award for Best Actor for his transformative performance in *Dallas Buyers Club*, and Anne Hathaway, who received the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for *Les Misérables*. Other strong cast members include British veteran Michael Caine, Oscar-nominated talent Matt Damon, Golden Globe winner for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama for *Zero Dark Thirty* Jessica Chastain, and young star Mackenzie Foy, who gained attention for her performance in *The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn*.
