“Invincible” is pop superstar Michael Jackson’s latest work of the new millennium and his first full studio album in 10 years. As its title suggests, it affirms Michael’s unmatched standing in music and his dazzling achievements. Since releasing his debut single in 1969, Michael has enjoyed a 30-year music career, releasing albums including “Off The Wall,” “Thriller,” “Bad,” “Dangerous,” “History: Past, Present and Future—Book 1,” and “Blood On The Dance Floor: HIStory in the Mix.” He has had 36 Top 10 singles as a solo artist (including 13 No. 1 hits), won 12 Grammy Awards, and claimed top honors at the American Music Awards, BRIT Awards, Soul Train Music Awards, and Billboard year-end charts. He was also honored with the Grammy Legend Award and the American Music Award for Special Achievement, setting a landmark record and shaping pop culture. No number of awards or titles can fully convey Michael’s influence and contributions to music. Released in 2001, “Invincible” features an all-star lineup of hitmaking producers, including Rodney Jerkins, Teddy Riley, R. Kelly, and Babyface. On the lead single “You Rock My World,” Michael explores a fresh style of love song, joined by Hollywood star Chris Tucker (“Rush Hour 2”), who shares a memorable exchange with Michael in the song and also appears in its music video. The song made a powerful debut at No. 2 on the UK charts. The profound ballad “Cry” speaks to how people should not turn a blind eye to the world’s turmoil and suffering. “Whatever Happens,” featuring a guitar solo by Carlos Santana, has a Latin-inspired, free-spirited feel. The warm, refreshing “Speechless” is a heartfelt confession of love, while “Unbreakable” is bold and masculine, with a sleek, cool edge.
